Escape to the most peaceful destination on the planet but most people call Carriacou. Here, your mind, body, and soul can't help but relax and become one with the Caribbean.
Carriacou is known as the "Isle of Reefs" and features some of the most unspoiled coral reefs in the region. Most diving takes place on the calmer Caribbean side of the island, where 33 dive sites suitable for all levels of divers can be found. Depths range from 12m/40ft down to a maximum of 30m/100 ft. Visibility is good throughout the year, with excellent opportunities for underwater photography.
Snagg Tours offers more than boat tours.

Cuthbert Snagg is known by everyone as an expert boat captain, all around mariner, and an honest, amiable man besides. No matter where you go, from Grenada to Carriacou to The Grenadines of St. Vincent, you will hear people calling his name. Cuthbert is a STCW certified boat captain and grew up on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, which is where Snagg Tours is firmly planted. Queen Elizabeth awarded him for his extraordinary effort to recover an entire island following a hurricane. It was published in the London Gazette.
Margaret Snagg is your host and concierge, available 24/7 for any inquiry or request. She also manages sales and marketing globally, and serves as your primary point of contact. Contact her for any and all travel services, including your reservation, weather/gear packing advice, promotional opportunities or any other request. Margaret is an accomplished graphic designer and communications specialist. Feel free to visit her online portfolio. Cuthbert and Margaret met when she interviewed for a job and he was on the interview panel. Seems she got the job.

Our day begins at 5AM and by 7AM we're having coffee on the beach-side deck. No day is identical to the next, so keep reading to find out what we do on typical days and let us know what kind of trip we should put together for you.
IN THE BOAT
Never mind the bag of sand Snagg puts in the boat. He uses it to balance weight in the boat, and to avoid telling you where to sit.
Need a courier or water taxi? We got you...name the destination, date and time you want to arrive and we'll do the rest.
Bring your own snorkeling gear or you can use ours. You'll need it when you go to swim with the turtles in the marine park. Dive equipment is rented on your behalf from a local supplier.
All of Carriacou's dive sites boast a spectacular array of vibrant corals and schooling fish that have made the Caribbean a famous diving hotspot. Dive sites range from the tranquil and sheltered for beginners and UW photography enthusiasts to fast drifts for those that love a challenge.
Carriacou also offers two wreck dives: the Westsider and Boris tug boats, both 30m/100ft long, which were sunk as artificial wrecks for divers in 2004 and 2007 respectively.
Bring your own rod and reel, or use one of ours. We also stock bait, and you choose your own poison: rough sea spots or calm waters in the mangroves. The choice is Yours.
As well as all the usual Caribbean reef fish, large nurse sharks, barracudas, Southern & roughtail stingrays, as well as spotted eagle rays, hawksbill and green turtles are frequently sighted.
During the summer months spectacular schools of silversides may be seen. During late spring humpback whales migrate past the island, and their song can be heard by scuba divers from a long way off.
North Americans call it hiking, and it always ends with a cool down...water on the outside and beer on the inside! Some groups even gather by booking a cruise ship tour to hash on the island.
Pair the catch of the day with Snagg's Signature Rhum Punch and say, "Lovely."
Carriacou's 4H Club has a kite flying event over an entire weekend, complete with competitions for the smallest and the largest kites. Get a glimpse of the simple pleasure here.
Do what you want to do.
Union Island is our go-to for a quick getaway where we dine at Jus Rite Restaurant. Another favorite destination is Mayreaux in The Grenadines. Meet our friends on the shore and enjoy fresh grilled seafood, beverages and a rapid game of bones (dominoes).
People in our community are friendly and have time to talk. Feel at home in front of a shop with an ice cream cone, or across the street where there are kiosks and a local bakery. Don't even talk about the freshly made popcorn and roasted kabobs.
Festivals include Maroon & String Band, Big Drum, Parang and Carriacou Carnival. Check out upcoming events on our calendar.
Carriacou Regatta is a huge event, featuring the Round The Island (RTI) navigation course. This is an event that appears on our calendar.
Back at Snagg's on the beach in Hillsborough, we plan and dream of tomorrow. When will you be joining us?
